The idea to build a one-stop shop automotive was born out of a personal experience of Abdulhakeem Owolabi Mustapha during his several visits to his homeland and his continuous innovative tendencies.

Akeem was able to see the struggles of most Nigerians trying with little success to market their personal cars and some of the cars sent by their relatives from overseas. He also faced frustrations trying to source parts for his cars in Nigeria, coupled with the insurance purchases that turned out to be fake. He found out when he had to call the insurance company to purchase additional coverage only to find out that although the policy papers stated the company's name, it was counterfeit made by a fraudulent agency. What was more shocking was that most legitimate insurance companies don't have any recourse against fraud. LagosAutoAuction provides a platform for direct contact between the seller and the buyers for anything automotive.


"My experiences as a owner of two automotive dealerships in the United States and my membership and participation in the world largest auction network (Manheim), allow me the advantage to leverage those experiences to make life easy for our countrymen in my own little way.


Secondly, the bad assets in the portfolio of the banks in Nigeria (particularly the auto lease loans) present an opportunity to raise funds for the banks and insurance companies through liquidation auctions, thereby stopping the financial bleeding.


An institution can only know the true nature of its loss when all bad assets had been liquidated. Sitting on bad asset to me only worsens the financial plight of a lending institution. Finally, my platform is a data driven system . You only get the information you put in it. So i encourage all to tell your local car dealerships and all auto related businesses in your area to list their companies on our site. We also encourage you as consumers to rate them as you engage them or transact businesses with this organization.
